BLOOD FEUD - HIDING BEHIND THE LIGHT 2012 REVIEW

Genre: Technical Thrash / Death Metal

Written by: AR

"I" for one am not a huge death metal nore a thrash metal fan but in this case i'm willing to transform my small brain into a death machine and start listening to more of these kind of genre's cause i'm really enjoying this record, a long awaited ten track debut album by the recently well known death/thrash metal band coming from Iceland/Reykjavík "BLOOD FEUD" these guys just recently released their debut album "Hiding Behind the Light" this record is filled with amazing suprises for those who have not heard this record before should check it out.

"Hiding Behind the Light" is the title track of the album and is most likely to be fastest song on this record. "Divine" was the first track i listened to once i bought the record this song just blew my mind, gives me goosebumps just listening to it and i'm pretty sure i want this song to be the title track to my funeral... haha. asides with great jokes i can't explain how much i love this song but i'm pretty sure i just did. In short words for "Creatures of Utopia" has the greastest guitar solo ever! haha oh yeah prepare yourselves people we've got a badass song here.

So in all n' all this is a fantastic record and if you ever visit iceland i'd recommend you checking Blood Feud out and to be buy their debut record Hiding Behind the Light

7/10.

CELESTINE - S/T 2012 REVIEW

CELESTINE // CELESTINE // 2012

Genre: Industrial Metal.

Written by: AR.

It's been nearly four years since the release of their album "This Home Will Be Our Grave" but i must say the wait was totally worth the wait but since i've been only been a fan for a year or two the wait wasn't that long but yeah. So i must say this new album entitled "Celestine" or just their first s/t album is pretty raw between their first two releases "At the borders of arcadia" & "This Home Will Be Our Grave" this one actually contains a bit of a hardcore groove sense to it, like Black Witch is pretty great, it's actually one of those songs that would make you want to shake it or not haha just love the vibe it provides to my ears when i listen to, second on Symptom Of the Soul is by far my favourite song on this album because well as much as i love listening to hardcore vibe here in Iceland but getting to listen to a track by Celestine without screams and such just makes me happy and alot chill to know that their sound has matured alot since their previous releases, Speakerbomb and Bitterman are two of the heaviest songs on the album since their like one minute length, they could have released em' both for like a vinyl release or sum haha, next up is God As A Bastard in my opinion the grooviest song, im loss out of words how to explain this song but lets just continue. Falling Down contains guest vocals from lead vocalist of Two Tickets To Japan's Grétar Mar Sigurðsson whos band you can check out here "
http://www.facebook.com/twoticketstojapan " but on with the show, Falling Down is the longest and relaxable song on the album its a must listen to like i said earlier its great to hear and see that Celestine have progressed since their last two releases, alot to say with fewer words, this i must say Celestine's newer release "Celestine or S/T" is beyond incredible, if you ever get the chance to come to Iceland i'd recommend you check out these dudes at a live concert and or just buy their s/t album from them and other stores.
